Services provided at the Adult Center

Valentines Day at Bardolph Center.Adult Day Services provide the following opportunities in a group setting:

  • Participation in recreational and social activities
  • Involvement in educational and cultural programs
  • Monitoring of medical and health needs
  • Instruction and assistance with personal and health care
  • Enjoyment of a nutritious lunch and two daily snacks
  • Continued community involvement


Adult Day Services include:

  1. Adult Day Care
    A structured program where participants spend from one to five days per week, on a scheduled basis, at the Center. Services are planned to support an adult's personal independence and promote social, physical and emotional well-being.

  2. Adult Day Health Care
    In addition to the benefits of the Day Care program, Adult Day Health includes personal care, health surveillance, assessment, and R.N. supervised nursing services.

  3. Group Respite
    A social program offering a four-hour break for those who are providing care for a family member who is impaired or requires supervision. The impaired or requires supervision. The impaired family member receives unique opportunities for a variety of activities with friends in a secure and supportive setting.

  4. CarePartners
    Volunteer In-Home Respite
    A program designed to give people who are caring for a loved one in their homes, support, education and respite. Trained volunteers will stay with family members a few hours each week, perform tasks to reduce the caregivers workload, provide support to the caregiver and socialization and stimulation to the person being cared for.

    Education  & Support Program
    ACE provides programs of education to church, community, civic organizations, schools and businesses. We offer ongoing workshops and intensive training for caregivers, providing the necessary tools and support to care properly and compassionately for their loved ones, as well as for themselves.
