Let’s Move! Community Health Fair

This health fair includes health screenings, community resources, refreshments, door prizes and activities for adults and children! Open to the public and there is no cost to attend. We will have a booth at the health fair with brochures and related materials; please come by!

Caregiver Retreat

Please join us for this retreat to connect with other caregivers. The day includes Chair Massage, Tai Chi and other relaxing sesions. A light breakfast and lunch will be provided. Please join us for the annual Buffalo Presbyterian Church ALL YOU CAN EAT Pinto Bean luncheon!! The cost is $6 and slaw, cornbread, a drink and dessert are included. The Church will also accept orders starting at 10:30am. ALL proceeds benefit ACE at Caldwell House!

Aging with Developmental Disabilities: Peacehaven Farm Tour

ACE in partnership with The Arc of Greensboro offer this tour of Peacehaven Community Farm, a non-profit serving people with developmental disabilities. Caregivers are invited to explore this option for alternative living. Rev. Buck Cochran, Executive Director, will offer a guided tour of the property and answer questions. Please contact Ruth Edwards of The Arc at 373-1076 by April 17th; space is limited. A carpool will leave The Arc at exactly 9:30am.

Powerful Tools for Caregiving

ACE in partnership with Shepherd’s Center of Greensboro offer a 6 week educational series designed to provide you with the tools needed to care for yourself while caring for a loved one. This class includes tools to help you reduce stress and relax, make tough decisions, and to communicate effectively with others. Classes meet on Thursdays beginning April 19th.
